Fallen Berry Branch Bark
 July 2025 remnant. We’ve got a large berry tree on our grounds that unfortunately, raccoons love. This week high winds split a branch of that tree and half of it fell on our roof. I heard it thud but thought it was the raccoons messing around. Today we had those branches taken away. Wish the raccoons had gone with them, those devils get into everything.

Years later now, I find interesting words in his handwriting; string those words into sentences, mount the sentences to acid-free mat boards, cut them into individual letters and put the pieces into vials.

Beautiful Teeth

When you mix it with toothpaste of course, your teeth, gums, lips, tongue, toothbrush and saliva all turn frothy black, and the sink and any parts of the countertop, tissues, fingers, clothing, mirrors or floor it may unavoidably or accidentally touch. Plants Talk

I’ve been reading that plants communicate using an identifiable grammar whose architecture resembles human language, with certain structures echoing our words and sentences. When they’re ‘happy’ they emit few sounds per hour, but when they’re stressed – injured or need water – they emit many regular sounds per hour. Catching Falling Snowflakes

After a string of spring-like days we had a flurry while I was outside today, so I got some vials and spent a few minutes of my walk catching snowflakes as they fell from the sky. Snowflakes seem to accelerate on approach, evading capture by surfing unseen waves of energy and wind currents. Nevertheless a few flakes are visible in the vials if you zoom into the close-up below.
